The Conference 2007
A conference and exhibition for anyone practicing environmental health
In a departure from previous years, for 2007 the CIEH will no longer be holding one annual conference but two! In response to members’ needs a more practice based conference will be held in the autumn with a more strategic, policy based conference aimed at Ministers, senior civil servants, chief officers and council leaders to follow in the winter in London. The first will aim to help EHPs in their everyday work, the second aims to engage with government on the key policy issues surrounding environmental health.
This year’s first practitioners’ conference is a must for all those practicing in any aspect of environmental health, irrespective of area of work (or level), employer, employment sector, level of expertise, type or level of qualification, or seniority.
The main objectives of the conference will be to:
- enable the sharing of best practice within the profession
- provide a wide range of opportunities for practitioners to further develop their skills and competencies
- provide access to horizon widening activities which can contribute to the delivery of better practice
- and finally, very importantly to network
We hope that practitioners will go away from the conference having shared their expertise and experiences and knowledge/skills with other practitioners to benefit the profession, but also have learned the latest tools to help them in their everyday work.
