APD applications and briefings

APD Part 1: application

Applications for Part 1 of APD are processed on demand. There are no deadlines for submission and the application can be sent at any time.

The Part 1 application comprises: the application form; three copies of the case study (or case studies, if one or two supplementary case studies are included); and the fee of £75, payable to the CIEH.

APD Part 2: application

Applicants are required to complete Part 1 before applying for Part 2. Applications for Part 2 must be submitted two months before the interview session date.

The Part 2 application comprises: the application form; three copies of your presentation and portfolio; and the fee of £150, payable to the CIEH. Your presentation must be submitted as hard copies on A4 paper.

APD briefings

Briefing sessions are provided for Part 1 and Part 2 applicants as necessary. Additional briefing sessions can be provided for regions and Special Interest Groups. APD briefings are provided free of charge to Members and attract core CPD hours.
